Hi, i have a Yamaha warrior and just changed the oil in it a week ago. Then the other day i had to drain the oil because i had to put in a new stator because that broke.

When i drained it i found about 12 pea sized chunks in the bottom of the oil that fell out as soon as i took the bolt off. and the filter was clogged with shavings and smaller chunks. I think it has to be aluminum because it did not take to a magnet. So as far as i know the only things in the engine that could be aluminum are the piston, rings, and the connecting rod.

The only thing is that it still runs and sounds fine! no knocking and all of the power is there. I don't know how this could have happened because i changed the oil after every 6 rides. and after changing the oil this was my first ride! with fresh oil! So all of these chunks had to come from one day of riding. I checked the oil when i got home and it was full to where it was supposed to be.

So after hearing this what do you guys think could be wrong with the bike??

My first check would be the clutch basket.
