Hello everyone,

Now that I got the Wolverine running like new the fun can begin with riding make of it my own.

I’m looking for a winch for it and wondering if anyone has any recommendations? I’m also. Wonder what size to get? I’ve been trig got decide between the SuperWinch Terra 35 or 25 and the Warn Vantage 2000.

Thoughts?

i have had several warn and have never been disappointed. they all pull about the same but pay close attention to the duty cycle. generally the cheaper the winch the shorter the duty cycle. find the balance between your budget and duty cycle and you should be fine.

Yeah i’ve had good luck with Warn as well. I assume that with the small 350 a 2500lbs rated winch would be just fine. Or would I be better off going up to a 3500lbs winch? I would say the majority of the time it would be used is stuck in mud and moving trees

if it was me i would go with the 2500 that is 5 times the weight of your machine and unless you are going to add an additional battery you are not going to have enough juice for work requiring the bigger winch. that is unless they are the same price if that is the case go for the bigger one

Once again, thanks Cory!

I think i’m Actually going to go with the Warn VRX 25 with wire rope. Don’t know if it’s worth it for the Synthetic Rope I like it but the $80 more has me questioning if it’s worh it.

I've got a Warn on my wolverine and used their winch mount. Works good and i use it on my snow plow and have pushed quite a bit of snow in the 8 or so years I've had it. The rocker switch needed replaced a few years ago.
I've got cheap winches on my UTV's, I don't use them regularly and they are not as old.
What I have noticed:
The cheap winches believe it or not seem more smooth sounding. They all are 2500 and seem to pull the same. My Warn is noisey and grinds but I'ts still working fine
I went with synthetic rope in my RZR and it is real nice on the hands. If you are going to use the winch regularly to get yourself un-stuck, it's worth the money. Wire rope gets horribly abrasive as it ages and you will want gloves to handle it.
