I'm looking at a 87 Shee with FMF pipes, .040 over piston, head work. I'm not sure what else there is yet. Is there anything that I need to look at that might be a problem area? This is the first shee that I've looked into buying. Any help would be great. Thanks Mike

The '87 shee has J arms which make them a typically less desired than shees with a-arms. However, you can find some cheap J arm shee's out there. Often they have tons of bolt on goodies since they have been around so long.

Oh, and you can also buy nice aftermarket J-arm like these from DaveMoore.

You can buy a J-to-A arm conversion kit for around $200, but then you would have to have it welded into your frame.
