warrior wont start. UPDATE

my son has a 96 warrior. it wasnt in the best shape when we got it. it wasnt getting fire and the wiring harness was messed with. with the help of a wiring diagram i got the harness sorted out. a new stator fixed the firing issue. it is getting good fire, the timing is right, getting gas and has 155 lbs compression. it will not start. it wont even hit. valves are a little loose but not far off spec. every time i take the plug out it is wet. it acts like its not firing but when i check it, it is. i even tried a new plug. no change. carb is clean and getting gas. nothing out the overflow. i even tried putting a little gas in the cylinder through the spark plug hole. any ideas

UPDATE. quad is fixed. they had the red and white wire crossed from the factory. reversed them and it fired right up. just thought i would update in case someone else runs in to this problem
