i found a guy that wants to trade me straight up for my ported blaster cylinder for his vito's 240 cylinder but i've heard that the vito's kit with the porting and everything isnt that good, that the porting is kinda shity i guess, i was just wondering for those of you that have a 240 kit from vito's, how they like it and if they would recomend me trading this guy...

i dont have the kit, but from what i have herd about vitos i wouldnet recomned it. also why would he trade a 240 cylinder for just a ported cylinder. unless the cylinder deosnt work good.
Don't do it..
just a vito's 240 kit is a stock port sleeve pressed in for the bigger bore..

you can get it ported and it will make a bigger difference.. the way they are set up from vito's has stock port timings so they will suck..

the 240 sleeves are the same that everyone gets just porting after is what makes it worth while..

Actually the Vito's 240 kit is not the same sleeve as you can get from LA Sleeve, the vito's sleeve is designed for vitos, it has 2 extra exhaust ports, and the ports are opened a little more than a standard 240 sleeve, it is fitted into a new aluminum casting to vitos specs, the thing that hurts the performance of the vitos 240 is if you ever use just a standard 240 piston the port timings will be off, vitos fits their kit with their spec piston which has a cutout on the exhaust side to improve exhaust timing and the intake ports are raised to do the same for the intake, if you are going to port a vitos cylinder you CANNOT use their 240 piston, you will need to get a standard 240 piston or the timings will be too high and kill the bottom end power.
if you were to port it with the vito's piston you would need to whole motor there to get the port timings right.. then after you wouldnt be able to use anything but thier pistons..
the crown of the the standard pistons are different than the vito's piston (thier piston is used to simulate a small amount of port work).

since it was mentioned

for a more modern port lay out you could go with a la sleeve set up with a standard piston, and have it ported to your riding style..
(this is what i would look more into)

next is a commercial plug..

so you guys are saying not to get it unless i wanna spend another 125 for port and polish and everything and then another 75 for another 240 piston or what?? thanks for all the advice..

lol...175..porting cost more than that..

What where saying is don't throw your cash out the window on that kit, you may as well give the money to me :) :) :)
You have some options

1.) You can trade him and have a big bore/unported cylinder and have less performance than you have now with your standard/ported cylinder
- not such a great deal

2.) You can trade him & get the big bore cylinder and then if you do it correctly have it ported, freshin the bore & piston, your probably looking
at around $350.00 plus IMO ( aprox numbers)
- not such a good deal

3.) Or you can trade him for the big bore and he kicks in $150.00 and a big bore will cost ya around $ 175-200 dollars out of you pocket ( aprox numbers)
not such a bad deal

do a little research in prices and bargin back his way and see what you can get him to boot up and then you can decide.

Marc's on here if he don't get hit for a plug he will help that what he does everyday for a living if he don't know nobody does

so lemme get this straight, i just bought a blown up blaster to play around with and i was looking into the vitos 240 kit also... so my question is.. is it not worth a shit or what??????
IMO.......there are better 240's availible at a competetive price.

well what do you guys think is a better deal/more competive motor then. ive had blasters before but never got into the motor, this one is the fun toy so id like to go a little extreme with this one. so tell me what you guys think is the best 240 or other size out.
I recomend Hollywoodirt
ive heard that vitos 240's suck i dunno
