I have done the cam mod, just ordered the ESR intake, and have a GYTR slip on. I race mx and go to the dunes. I have read every thread in the forum and I still trying to decide the best pipe. For dunes and mx. The DR. D or Jardine, TA which is the best or are all about the same.

Look into this thread, you will find out that the GYTR Slip on is awnsome!

Go with the new ESR Race Series exhaust, I have this exhaust and it has the most top-end, straight stepped header and was only $350 full exhaust. This exhaust hauls arse !!
its everyone to their own opinion, you will never know which is the best pipe cause there is none, there all good in a different way. but i would recomend the alba pipe, its pretty good. i can hold the gears longer with the alba, where as the gyt-r i had to chnage fairly quickly.
I have the duncan and it pulls thru out the entire powerband, stronger on the bottom end though and gets just a tad weaker on the very tip top. It also has a lifetime warrenty and comes with a jet kit at 499.00$. I have no complaints about the pipe yet.
I love my hmf full exhaust system. Its loud, and its so powerful. Im so happy with it and wouldnt trade it for any other pipe.
If your looking for both a dunes and MX pipe those are two completely different things. If you ride dunes you would want the original ESR, it hauls balls on top end. For the MX though you don't need top end only low and mid. The TC is arguably the best for MX, the HMF full system is a damn good pipe for a less. It produces a ton of low-mid grunt. Also the T?A is a good MX pipe.
Buy the ESR only if you don't mind being smoked by me and my Jardine.

Guys like you need to understand different aftermarket pipes will NOT make or break a bike. Maximum power difference between any given pipes will not be more than 2 hp.
i disagree, just say if you had a pipe with more top end and i had one with low or mid on a mx track then it doesn make a difference and visa virsa for the dunes.
 I concur !!!

Your right, maybe i should have worded it better. More like there is not one magical pipe that outperforms the rest.
Nice "rephrase"...now I can agree with you too. :hey:
jardine

well, i was in the desert this weekend and nobody beat me on the drags or the hill. I didn't really smoke anybody either, just ran even or beat 'em.
Ran the hill even with banshee's which I think is HUGE for a 4 stroke!
I have a Jardine pipe w/ sparky out.
Anybody who says one pipe will smoke the other has been sniffing that stuff they put model cars together with.
Gotta remember, it's rider too, I weigh 220 pounds which is death compared to these guys who weigh 150 soaking wet.
Then, those 150 pounders are only 25 compared to my 48 yrs old.
Weight, riding ability, jetting, and nuts are all major factors!
Pipe the bike but jet it wrong and you may as well leave it in the trailer.
Too many burritos a day will suck horsepower.
How good can you get through the woops at the base of the hill?
LESS BIKE + BETTER RIDER + LESS WEIGHT = WINNERWe aren't dealing with 650 horsepower race cars her, we are talking 40 horses or so, do you realize what 20 pounds of weight means???
Bottom line, I am an old man but will happy to race anybody, you beat me, my hats off to you, if I beat you, just stop by, I will be happy to show you how I have my bike set up.
