I just bought a 97 banshee that was sitting around for over a year. Now Ive never worked on quads but want to learn. now I put a new AMR racing cdi box on it but it still wont start. Opened the stator cover and it has white shit all in it (like water build up) I was told it could also be dirty carbs but I could it be the stator. I do have spark at the plugs but when I crank it sounds like its flooded or suffocated but when I took out the plugs it sound as if it was turning more. what can I do

Is it getting gas? Does the plug come out wet after you've been cranking on it a while? does it make any pop at all? Is the gas fresh? If so then set it on full choke. Hold the throttle open (Ready to let go the instant it hits) and kick it slow a couple times to get some gas in there then let off the throttle and kick it down real fast. Another posibility is crap in the in the pipes. Something may have moved in and made a home in there. Worth checking in to if you have fuel, spark, and air but no fire.
