I've never used one myself but the way they lock seems like a good idea. On the other hand, the way you have to tighten them looks like a joke. Stick a steel rod in a aluminum hole and pry...not good in my opinion.

I had one on my old Banshee, I bought it from Cascade Inovations. I liked it and it never came loose.

I got the LSR Locknut and that doesn't look like it will ever come loose. If you never took your stock one off you should be fine. The problem comes into play went you put it back on. An old trick someone told me was to tighten the stock one all the way then wrap duct tape around the axle right before the locknut. Apparently this helps keep it tight.
