I have a 2006 Yamaha raptor 700r, it’s making a weird clicking noise in the engine, seems like it’s near the cam, could it possible be the cam chain tensioner? I have heard of those breaking and people buying manual ones. The noise also gets worse when it gets warm.
Valves are in spec, runs great besides the noise.

could be a worn timing chain or tensioner. have you changed the oil filter. are you running the correct oil? what oil are you using, synthetic? did you check the valves correctly

I changed the filter a put 10w-40 synthetic wet clutch oil. I checked the valves they are in spec. I am thinking it may be the tensioner/timing chain as well. I went ahead and ordered them since it was only 60 bucks.

Sounds like a good place to start. I have had the synthetic oil make those old top ends rattle some as well
