I have a 1987 Yamaha warrior 350. I got it from a friend, he blew it up. I dropped a new bottom and and top and into it. It seems as though it is stuck in reverse. The reverse selector shaft does not turn enough to go into drive. The reverse light is not on and I have no spark. Wether or not the clutch is pulled the tires are difficult to turn and when cranking the motor the tires spin backwards. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
sounds like you did not get the trans back in correctly and need to take it apart and check it. do an ohms test on the stator, pickups and primary coil. did you use all of the same electrical components when you put it back together or did you mix and match
I’ve got it running now and the reverse forward selector figured out I think. When in reverse the clutch seems to be fully engaged when in forward it cycles through the gears, but the clutch seems as though it’s not engaging at all. I’m doing to pull the clutch cover off soon and see if I can find a problem with the clutch.
