I have a 2001 Yamaha Wolverine. Still in new condition. Recently I’ve been wanting to do some improvements on engine. I put in a stage 1 hot cam, DG exhaust, Warrior Carburetor, K&N filter, and I run a little hotter plug. So my question is, would putting in a performance CDI box make a difference? Would it make it run better, a bit faster, or increase the performance of the machine?

no. most of the ones you can buy are Chinese crap. even if you have someone like tom bauer make you a good custom one it only moves the timing curve. no matter which direction you move it something will suffer. most of the after market boxes move the curve to improve top end so you would suffer on the bottom. you dont mention opening the air box but that combined with a good jet kit will make a difference. beyond that you are looking at a big bore or something like that.
