Hey guys.
I'm hoping someone has some clue what's going on with my ride.

I bought a 2001 wolverine (yfm350fxn) for cheap because it was in pieces.
Oil pump was toast, and this toasted the cam. I replaced/rebuilt, seems to run fine now, except I get a high pitched whine when in higher gears. At first I thought it was a wheel bearing starting to go, cause that's where the sound seemed to be comeing from, even though there was no movement there. I replaced both sides, and didn't fix the problem. I disconnected the front drive shaft, put it up on blocks and noise is still there.

Noise is not present in first couple of gears, only in higher gears with engine revs up. If I let off the gas, noise goes away. Is this a clutch issue? or a bearing somewhere inside.

Any help would be appreciated.

has the final drive differential been worked on or replaced? sounds like you have a bearing going bad in the final drive somewhere that only whines while your on the gas due to increased load on that bearing. hope this helps lead you in the right direction.
