Hello all, just joined the group! My 2001 has been sitting for a bit 1.5 years.(back surgery) and put it all back together with new battery started right up with one push on started button.
Ran fine until fuel was leaking out of overflow tube and petcock.
ordered new petcock and rebuild kit, cleaned well and inspected also replaced intake boot because it looked a little wonky.

Hard time starting yesterday with choke and fresh fuel, until the ol starter fluid trick, once it started it was having a hard time staying running like running out of fuel. then after 5-10 mins it was revving higher and then higher the hotter it got it got worse. I was to the point of turning it off at such HIGH HIGH revs it thought it was going to blow the motor.

I dont know what stock jets are in it. HELP???
I'm going to take off the cheap new intake boots and check and inspect the carb today. If i could get the bike to run at lower rpm..... I would check for intake leak but it revs wayyyyy too high.

Hello ccobra, this can be caused by the throttle cable. I had the same issue recently. The issue was found to be that the throttle cable was getting stuck inside of the lining. I replaced it with the 1PZ throttle cable for the 350 warrior on ebay. Hope this helps!

Check the intake boot as well, they crack and suck air
