What’s up peeps
So I traded someone my OEM Raptor 660 muffler to someone for there Duncan Racing Fat Boy 4 muffler. Original reason being is guy said it was way to loud for the state he was in and scared his kid. He sent it, it was kind of rough. Some drilled holes to put an aftermarket tip on it and broke 2 of the screws off. When I opened it half the packing was gone. The packing that was left was still wet. So they sprayed water into the muffler while washing it or swamped their quad. I took endcaps off repacked it filled the holes seals were reusable painted it along with rest of exhaust VHP ceramic baked it in the grille. Looks nice. The OEM muffler I traded was rusted to hell but a quick hit with a wheel and some black cheap grille paint later looked new. So the trade was done work is done. My raptor sounds amazing now and I can feel a small power gain after some carb play. Problem now, this thing is soooooo loud. 108 DB! So the quiet tip from Duncan of course is like $70. F That. I bought a universal Atv slip on tip that will slightly point the exhaust towards the ground. is there anything else I can do to quiet this a little? Do I need to use seal between the tip and muffler? Will I have to re jet?

a spark arrestor might help and wont hurt much. should not need a seal. should not effect the jetting

They are loud, much more than stock. If the packing is still wet it will get better when it dries. The power benefit is worth it in my opinion
