Warrior 350 starter clutch help

Just replaced my starter today and now about 50% of the time the starter will spin and not engage. You can press the button again and the bike will start. I did some research and it sounds like the starter one way has gone out, I also get the clink when shutting the bike off. My question is does the oil need to be drained to replace this, also other than the flywheel puller are there any other specialty tools that would make my life easier?

Thank you

you could tilt the bike up and do it without changing the oil but trust me if the starter clutch is shot you want to change the oil, filter and clean the screen under the drain plug. order the flywhell puller and that should be the only special you need
