warrior jetting

i have a problem with my warriors jetting. i have a FMF HI Flo header, and a FMF PowerCore IV exhaust on it, and a k&n air filter with no air box lid on it. i bought a jet kit and it didnt come with any bigger pilot jets, and the biggest main jet was a 150. stock is 145. any recommendations would be a huge help. i am about 1000 feet above sea level. i am fairly mechanically inclined so i havent taken it to my dealer yet nor do i want to. thanks a bunch.

if its a dynojet put a 148 in it cause the dynojets run in different sizes that mikuni jets and set the clip on the needle to the 4th spot from the top and as far as pilot goes your going to have to go to the dealer and get a 45 short pilot

Yea.... I went there and asked them for a 45 pilot for a mikuni and they gave me the wrong kind.... it was too long and fat.... you have to ask for the short ones.

i went to my dealer yesterday and he was matching up pilot jets for my carb. he said he didnt have a pilot jet over a 45. stock warrior is a 42.5 according to my manual (for california). b/c of the emissions standards does anyone know if the pilot jets would be different sized? it is not a oringianlly california machine. so everything is orignal in the carb except for the main jet which is a 148. when my dealer was inspecting the carb he said my accelerator pump isnt workin like it should, but may be ok. would the accelerator pump have anything to do with low end throttle response b/c when i rev it up it cuts out unless i roll on it slow. any help is greatly appreciated in advance.

IF you can't get a 45 pilot jet from your dealer...... go to a web site and buy one. I think Bob from magnolia would have them. Alot of the guys on here took out their stock spring on their accelerator pump..... ripped apart a few mechanical pencils and found the right size spring and replaced it. And your last question about the throttle responce is what I was thinking until I put my 45 pilot in.... It hauls A$$ now and I can just punch it!! If you got any more questions..... just ask!

first and foremost i would like to thank warrior03, along with the other posters. you have been most helpful. i dont knwo how to thank you for saving me from all of the shop at the dealer. back to the questions, what does the accerlerator pump do? the only problem with mine is that it doesnt move freely down. also if it is idling, and I punch it it cuts out, i dont knwo the problem there. all of your help is greatly appreciated. thanks again.

I would replace the spring on the accelerator pump, and the problem with when it is idling and you punch it.... the 45 pilot fixed that for me. Do you have a Clymer manual? If you do.... read it, take out the accelerator pump, clean it and re-install it.

Not my thread, but was curious if any of you guys have the Mikuni part numbers for the 150 main and 45 pilot. Just bought a 97’ and don’t know much about it. JetsRUs has them, but there’s a million different ones. TIA!
