wolverine 350 tires

what size tires will fit stock wolverine 350 without lift or anything? will 25's fit rear? any preferences on tires? stock originals are cracking really bad after 18 years!

there are a few threads on the web about tires for you but be careful if you go bigger. that motor is not exactly overpowering that machine. bigger tires mean less torque and more top end and significantly more clutch wear. of course you can regear but that gets pretty expensive and maybe impossible being a shaft drive. without a regear the machine will feel sluggish and underpowerd in the trails and be slightly faster on the flats to a point. in general you should be able to go up an inch or so without difficulty. worry more about getting a quality tire with the correct tread for you riding. i went from 20 inch sand stars to 22 inch haulers on my yfz and pretty well smoked a clutch on a 4 day sand trip. that sounds worse than it is that machine is pretty hot and used to go through clutchs pretty fast but it got worse with the big tires.
