Water Pum Issues

i have a 2006 Wolverine 4x4 sport...Keep getting coolant in the oil...Did a leak down test and all looks good. Only about 10% leakage. Water Pump looks a little nasty and the house has a small chip missing but dont think thats causing the issue. How do I get off the housing behind the water pump Impeller cover? Does the whole side stator cover need to come off? Any help would be awesome... I have a manual but it doesnt seem to tell you much as far as the water pump goes unless im missing something... Thanks

Yes that’s what I saw too. It looks like
It should
Just pull off. I have the cover off but the housing won’t come off. Almost like the shaft is holding on there. The cover is in bad shape and pretty rusted from sitting. It may be rusted on there not sure but don’t want to force it.

is it loose and hanging up on the shaft or is that second piece just stuck to the case. if it is the latter they can form a pretty tight bond over the years, try tapping it with a plastic hammer as best you can on all sides. after one more post you can post a pic that might help me if i could see it.
