2003 350 Wolverine Carb Question

I am the new owner of a 2003 Yamaha 350 Wolverine.
I have a question for all you experts.

I noticed after I park it and turn the gas valve off I notice a little bit of gas coming out on the tube on the bottom of the carb. goes on the garage floor. not a big deal but would like to fix it

Is this just a drain tube? I see there is a screw by where is connects to the carb.

I wonder if this screw can be tightened.

or what is this tube. it doesn't hook to anything. I tried to take a fe pics.

the screw is to drain the bowl and should be tight. my guess is the fuel you are seeing is from the float being slightly out of adjustment.. when the machine is running it can compensate for the extra fuel but when you shut it off a little spills out the overflow. make sure you turn the petcock off until you get it fixed it could drain the tank given enough time. it also could be normal if you are jostling the machine or parking on an angle and if it is just a small amount.

Thank you for your quick response.

I am going to makes sure the screw is tight, Im thinking it may have come loose. I didnt want to turn a screw and mess up a carb Adj.
it looks like it dripped 4-5 times but dont want raw fuel on garage floor.

Thanks again.

Thanks
If its the float I will have to take it in to the ATV place... not real good on working on carbs etc.

Should I be using reg unleaded or maybe 89 octane?

those engines were not designed for ethanol they will run but it rots the carbs and hoses. i only run ethanol free super it has a little higher octane and it does not go bad nearly as fast and wont rot the brass out of the carb. if you get a clymer manual and have a good set of screwdrivers the float job is very easy there are step by step instructions and those carbs are pretty simple. if you decide to tackle it let me know and i can give you some help and tips. another plus to the manual is it gives you a good maintenance schedule and instructions on how to do it. one yearly maintenance will more than make up for the cost of the book
