cory52000 they are pretty much the same. the carbs will interchange but they are slightly different the wolverine does not have an accelerator pump, or so i have been told. the head should be the same but the cam is likely a different grind and the timing would be different. the wolverines have a different style ignition system. jets will work and compression is likely the same. if you are looking for some added soup open up the air box, add a slipp on and re jet it. the dollar per hp rations goes down significantly after that. they are great little machines pretty much the way they are and i bet you will be happy with the simple mods.

1999 Wolverine 350 motor

Hey everyone,
In new to this site nd have already learned a lot about my Yamaha!! I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the wolverine motor is the same as the warrior. The research that I've done...well first off it looks the same, the stroke and bore are the same, but not sure if the carbs and jetting, or the size cams are the same? Im asking because certain engine parts and performance manufacturer's list the warrior but not the wolverine and im almost positive that the bare block of the motor is the same just not sure about the components in them?...size cam, jets, compression?? And want to be sure that they are compatible before I order parts. Any known knowledge would be greatly appreciated!!
