| For those of you looking to improve your night-time riding with brighter lights, Trail Tech has developed "Torch Lights", which not only improve lighting by a large margin, but are also stylish and more durable than most OEM lighting systems. They are available for most ATVs, and you must specify which ATV you own to get the proper mounting kit along with them. The lights in this review are for a Raptor. For $119.95 I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a brighter set of lights to mount in the stock location. They can also be mounted on an available billet aluminum handlebar clamp. When installing, I first used a volt meter to verify which of the wires on the Raptor are high beam, low beam, and ground. The Trail Tech lights do not have high and low beam settings. Because of this they will only use two of the three wires from the stock lights. To wire the lights into the stock wiring harness, choose either high or low beam from the stock lights. Run one wire from each of the lights to the ground wire (or frame). Attach the other wire from the lights to the high or low beam wire from the ATV. In this case Trail Tech recommends using the high beam wire. For best connection, solder the light's wires to the stock terminals. Once you're done the lights will be on when the high beams are selected. When the low beam is selected, the lights will be off. Anxious to test them, I turned on the lights after the install and immediately noticed that they were much brighter than stock. Once adjusted properly so they were straight, I took it for a ride and couldn't believe the difference. Trail Tech wasn’t lying when they said they are 3X brighter than stock! All in all this is a quality product, and a great investment! -AFR383 | ![]() ![]() ![]() Quality: ![]() Performance: ![]() Installation: ![]() Value: ![]() Overall: ![]() Scale: 1=terrible, 2=poor, 3=fair, 4=very good, 5=excellent |
