"DEAD-LOC" Dual Bolt Axle Nut

Having your stock axle nuts come loose while you're out on the trails is no fun, especially if you don't bring gigantic over-sized tools with you to tighten them back up. Of course most of us don't, so that's why this new "DEAD-LOC" dual bolt axle nut is such a great product. It's made out of 6061-T6 aluminum and designed for those riders who push the limits and ride as hard as they can. It is fairly wide, and measures in at just over 1 1/4". We received one for our Banshee, and after opening the package we immediatly liked the design. The inside of the nut that faces the hub is cut to reduce the contact surface which results in less chance of the hub loosening the nut. The metal buffer ring provided aids in this also.
To install simply remove the stock axle nuts and place one of the metal buffer rings on the axle, and then thread the new DEAD-LOC nut on behind it. Tighten with the same tool you would tighten the stock hardware with to the desired torque, and then tighten down on the 2 allen cap locking bolts and nuts.
After several hours of ride time with the new DEAD-LOC axle nut, we have had no problems at all with it becoming loose, and it looks as if we won't have any problems in the future.
