Do you often worry about breaking or scratching those expensive OEM headlights on your ATV? To ward off damaging rocks and any other debris that can ruin your headlights, Clear Guard has developed "Light Shields", a clear protective layer that can easily be applied to your headlights in a matter of minutes. The Light Shields are made to protect against breakage, scratches, and even dis-coloration.
When we received our Light Shields, we were very impressed with the quality of the product and even the packaging. Everything you need is supplied with the kit, but you will need to mix 1 part of alcohol and 3 parts water in a spray bottle. This is very important for proper installation. The only other thing you will need is a hairdryer for heating both the headlight lenses and the Light Shields to make them softer and more manageable for placement and bubble removal. You will find a couple small bubbles towards the edges, but they disappear easily with some swipes of the squeege. The instructions provided are easy to follow, and we were happy with how quick the whole installation process actually was. It took us only about 20 minutes combined to install on our Raptor and Big Bear. The only problem we had was with the installation on the Big Bear; the squeege was a little big and hard to maneuver between the lense and the body, but was easily fixed simply by using a smaller squeege or something similar, like a credit card. The shields are pretty thick, and once installed you can't even tell they are there. Although we haven't had any encounters with rocks since installing the Light Shields, we are confident with Clear Guard's claims.

UPDATE! New Color-Tinted Lense Shields!

Clear Guard has just released new versions of their popular headlight lense shields for selected ATVs which now have a colored-tint to them! The new color-tinted lense shields retain all the great advantages of headlight protection, but will now give your ATV a cool, unique look at night or even during the day. They come in three tint colors; blue, yellow, and smoke.
Installation is just as easy as the clear lense shields, and after taking a night time ride with our yellow-tinted shields, we really loved the way the light's color was displayed over the terrain. There is no noticeable visibility loss either, which is great. We do wonder if there will be any dis-coloration over time, so we'll have to wait and see, although we feel there won't be much if any at all.
The new Clear Guard color-tinted headlight lense shields are about $5 more per pair than regular clear lense shields, which we feel is reasonable.
