Default clutch

whatchya guys runign for clutches?
how long have you had it?
any problems?
cost?
it's time for a new one and i'm looking for sugestions.
i'm waiting to tear it down and see if i need a basket too....hopefully not but we'll see

I run the YZ 9 disc set up, love it, had it in there for about 6 months now. Cost me $160 from DFR.

how many plates are in the stock clutch 7?
what is the advantage of 9?

Mmore grip, load is dispersed across the extra fibers so less wear, with the HD springs it clamps down faster and harder. The con to it is a harder pull, but with my ASV levers I hardly notice it.

ok i bought the driven industries clutch, now for installation is there any thing i should be aware of? i heard about a little steal ball? does the yfz have that?

yes it has the ball. just watch for it when u pull the pressure plate off but most of the time it will stay in the hole!

let the fibers soak in il for at least a few hours before you install them.

i threw em in and it seems to be a great clutch for the price..i only payed $60+shipping..put it in and noticed my baskit and inner hub are rather worn :( but it works...went in nice, easy to adjust, dosen't slip(even when drifting in tar)
i guess we'lll see how it holds up
