How much oil does the 450 hold?

Doing an oil change on a 07 450. How much oil does it hold if I drain the oil and change the filter?

I say 1/3 of a quart in the motor and 1 and 2/3 quart in the oil tank,
but the rocket scientist in here will correct me.

Don't worry about it, spill a little on the ground and you'll be fine :)

So its 2 quarts total? Don't have the owners manual handy and I can't remember from last time.

I think its like 1.96 QTs. I usually just do what Highpro does. around half in the crankcase and 1 1/2 in the tank.

its like 6 or 8 ounces in the crank, then a quart in the tank, run it and then top the oil tank off, it takes like 1.7 quarts. otherwise just look right in manual

10 oz (300ml) in the case. The rest of the 1.85Q in the tank.

Whats the difference if you put a little too much in the crank and not enough in the oil tank or vica verse wont it just level itself out once it runs for a while anyway?

Most of the oil ends up in the case when it sits. Just following specs so that adequate oil is in there after a change for startup.
