Default What type of motor oil to use?

ive searched and saw that alot of people liked castrol 10w 30. i dident see if it was full synthetic, semi synthetic, or gtx.

which should i use?

full synthetic?

semi synthetic?

or gtx?

or you could recomend any other brands.

Do you mean transmission oil? If you do, then don't use and synthetics, because that will probally cause clutch slippage.

Just use some gear oil, yamalube will work fine.


Oh, and if you meant pre-mix oil get some fully synethic Amsoil.

im talking about tranny oil. will the gtx 10w 30 work good? i herd gear lube/ oil is bad for the clutch???

just dont get oil with friction modifiers. those are bad. right now im using belray gear saver 75w

just dont get oil with friction modifiers. those are bad. right now im using belray gear saver 75w
BTW, anyone using yamalube, DONT .. i use klotz for my premix and it bruns great For non-mixers, go with bel-ray

this is what i want to use. i dosent say anything about friction modifiers on the back. on the back theres a circle and it says 10w 30 in the middle and around it it says energy conserving. <<is that bad???



i agree sam, yamalube leaves all kinds of remains on the top of your piston. mine was a mess. now i run castor 927 for premix.

that stuff worked fine for me just make sure you change it often...the best oil ive found is 75W90 gear oil

the best oil out there is synthetic and its called Amsoil 75w-90. it is so good it can be used again by filtering it through a coffee filter. its the best for trannies, i used it in mine. stuff retails for like $8 a quart. i have 8 quarts, im selling them for $5 a quart, PM me

no not at all it just doesnt shift quite as smooth as some 75W90 but it worked fine

How can Yamalube gear oil leave shit on your piston? He is asking about tranny oil, not premix oil. I ran Yamalube gear oil in my old blaster and it shifted so smooth and ran great all the time

i just bought some bel-ray 75w gear saver. its designed for 2-stroke motorcycle trannys. it says maxium gear protection, and improved clutch performance and shirting. will this be good to use?
