Hi I was curious to see what the best way to remove the TORS is. I am rewiring my project blaster and would like to remove the TORS and the stock bar mounted light/kill switch. I will be adding a momentary contact kill switch from a YZ bike instead. From the looks of my wiring diagram I should be able to simply disconnect the black and the black/white wires from the CDI, trash the TORS box and switches, and route my new kill switch to those two wires (black,black/white)? Help? Can anyone tell me if this will work or not?
Thanks

It will if you have the correct throttle cable. When you take off tors, u need a cable that goes from thumb throttle to carb. I have one if you need it.

What do you mean by
"you need a cable that goes from thumb throttle to carb"
Are you refering to a throttle cable or do you mean a wire? I will be using a warrior thumb throttle, so I the throttle switch will be gone, should I also run a warrior throttle cable?

OK, I got you covered. I just put a kill switch on my blaster, becuase my wires were the way you are wanting to set your quad up like. Just unplug the four wires from your key switch, two of those wires will need to be connected and the other two stay unconnected unless you want to kill the motor (hook your YZ switch) it will only work one way so try the different combos.

I just took off my TORS so I got you covered there as well. You will need a new throttle cable becuase it needs to be a little longer and the connecting metal ball at the end of the cable is different. It will look like the part of the cable coming out of your TORS and it needs to be able to connect with the jetting needle. I just got a new throttle kit that by-passed the TORS (it had the twist throttle and cables) for about $25(thumb throttles were about $50). Then you have te get an idle kit, because your TORS has an idle and your carb doesn't. It is pretty simple you need a drill press and to be able to tap the hole for your idle screw. Took me about 30 minutes to put the idle on. Hope that helps. MotionPro has an idle screw kit for a Blaster that cost about $25.

You can disconnect the tors wiring and box without getting a new cable but to take it off the carb as well you will
