best oil?

Hey all what is the best oil to use? With my 450 since it was wetclutch I was told to run rotellathey said ithad the most zinc in itehich is good for the clutch fibers does the same apply for the 700?

Best oil...you are going to get many answers on that. there are many good oils, Amsoil,klotz,mobil,maxima,rotella and the list goes on.Most will have no idea what the zinc/phos content is in their oil as they do not do any testing. I do not know right off hand what the zinc content of rotella is as I have never tested it..anything above 1100 or so is sufficient. I use the klotz MX4, which has around 1400 zinc content.

Only use oils deigned for wet clutches or you will screw up your clutch.

Mobil 1 4T is all I use now. I know a guy who did some heavy duty clinical testing on many brands of oils and came up with Mobil 1 4T as the top dog.

I have always run yamalube semisynthetic 15w 40 and it seems to run pretty well. It is pretty expensive but since I have never had a problem with it I stick with it.

what is the best oil filter?

06 700R raptor - full skid, monster energy wrap, trailtech, hids, dg grab bar
