Default 01 660 raptor wont do anything

i was riding my raptor today and i stalled it and now it wont start when i turn the key the natural light lights up but when i turn the red switch the red temp light turns on (its not even warmed up yet) and when i press the start button the light gets brighter... does anyone know what it could be?

Is the run switch in the on position on the handlebars?

Sounds like that switch may have issues, take it apart and clean it.

Jump 2 large solenoid terminals and see if it cranks, if it does you probably need a new solenoid.

Yes it should start, it sounds likea connection issue, the CDI thinks the run switch is off. I would guess a wiring issue or the CDI if it don't start when you jump the terminals.

Disconnect the voltage regulator and see if it will start.

There is a fuse in back by the battery.. Check the first link in this forum, IMportant Topics Links..

2001 660 raptor 660r yamaha cdi - eBay (item 160525428480 end time Jan-29-11 17:58:43 PST)

You won't find one cheaper than that..

Don't spend any extra cash on aftermarket CDI's they dont do much..
