Looking at a 05 Raptor and have questions

I might be getting a 05 Raptor 660 in a trade deal. How do the 660,s compare to the 700,s? Are they as fast or faster? I had a 06 Raptor 700 and had alot of problems with it. I think I bought a lemon and dont want to make the same mistake with this 660. Any known issues or things I should look for? I ride a KFX 700 but my son wants something he can bang gears with. Any Input would be great

Hey I havent talked crap about 660 Raptors. Ive never owned one. Thats why Im a little gun shy about it because of the nighmares I had with my 700. Im not judging it. Im interested in possibly owning one. Im hoping its at least as fast as my 700 was.

Your 700 had to be a lemon. The 660's have WAY more issues than even the 06 700's did. Bad Tranny's in a lot of 01's, starter gears on all 660's, head design that leaves much to be desired, carbs that choke the engine, suspension that sucks ass (if you didn't like the way your 700 handled, the 660 is NOT an upgrade), the 700 is in every way (except them ugly fenders ) a better bike off the showroom floor - HANDS DOWN.

And that's coming from a hard core 660 lover...

You talked all that shit about the 700s being crappy and then you wanted to buy a 660? You seriously need to go and rethink why you are here.

i think you should invest in a nice safe golf cart and save the real bikes for true riders. nothing is ever going to be good enough for you. you will always put other riders bikes down. i got a good used pw50 if you think you can handle it.
