Seems like when I have my 660 at any type of incline and try to back up the rev limiter kicks in WAY to soon. It wants to stall before the rev limiter kicks in becase it isn't making any power... I end up having to slip the Clutch like crazy or quickly "pop" it and sorta rock the Quad back. I was in some mud the other day and I just killed it and dragged it out... Tonight at the car wash I couldn't get it to back up the little slope into the coin-op pressure washing bay... Might it be the parking break rev limiter somehow getting tripped from pulling in the clutch lever? Or is there some kind of an incline senser/tip-over switch? I unloaded it off the truck when I got home and it ripped in reverse on the flat drive way. It will spin the tires... I'm waiting on a perch and a block off plate to get here so I can dump all the E-brake junk. What kind of switch is it? Open or closed? Tie the wires togeather or leave them apart? I assume tie them togeather.
The clutch lever has 2 sensors, one for the parking brake, and one for the safty clutch start. You unplug the one sensor and the other sensor on the raptors wireing harness you plug the 2 bullit conectors in to each other.

reverse? who needs reverse? ride a yfz for a while, you will remember how to avoid reverse...
I have it, I'll use it... Did you say you wanted to trade? I'ld be more than happy. Especially cuz this Raptor only cost me 450 one dollar bills.
haha, just givin ya a hard time, i was really used to having reverse when i got my yfz, and it was worrying me, but i use to ride quads before they even had reverse, and it was never a big deal back then, after a short time, you get use to it again, worse part is getting hung up deep in the woods, you have to get off, drag the ass around, then your good again.
It's good, I should have used more of these cleaver faces and better punctuation to show my sarcasm ... I remember the days of 250R 3wheelers and 4wheelers... Dragging my ass or my friends ass out of snow and mud... My many years on 2 wheels too...
I was in the market for a 450 of some sort when this Raptor fell in my lap. I thought, I really want a 450 but how can I pass up $450??? My brother-in-law had 660 a few years ago so I knew a little about them.
My other thought is to build a killer 660 and keep it. I'll be into it way less than picking up a stock 450. I would like to get into some local racing hence my only other thread about race classes. I think I would have an easier time fitting into a class with a 450.
So any how, I unplugged clutch sensor and plugged it back into itself and I unplugged the parking brake sensor... That one does't need to be jumped? I haven't ridden it yet cuz It's hotter then the Devil's stew in the garage right now and I still need to button up the the fenders.
just take the wire for the reverse light by the sproket and run it to the negative post on the battery. No more reverse limiter. My 03 would do this randomly till i moved yhis wire, now no more problems.
