No. there are tons of posts on disconnecting it. Just ground the wire to the reverse switch and you are good to go.

yep, just be careful when in reverse. i did it to mine and my brother rolled it in reverse the next time he rode it. 2nd gear in reverse is kinda fast.

Default What are the colors of the wires for the reverse rev limiter?
What are the colors of the wires for the reverse rev limiter when you disconnect it? I want to make sure I cut and ground the correct wire<s>?

just follow the wires down from the clutch perch. it will be around a bunch of other connecters. i just did this on mine and i almost flipped it over in reverse. lol

take the wire that has the plug type connector down by the sprocket and connect it to the negative post on the battery and no more problems.
