Raptor won't start from push button
Ok I have an 02 raptor I just got. It will start if I use a screw driver on the solenoid, so I replaced it still don't work. Lights all work fine. When I hit the button, nothing happens but the little lights come on. What can I be?

Well first check the fuse. Then it can be the start button, the main switch, the clutch switch, or the neutral switch.
Check the steps in the manual to eliminate the possibilities one at a time.

IF anything comes on, the fuse is fine. If the temp light comes on when you push the start button, the main switch, run/stop switch and start button switch are all fine.
Did you replace the solenoid with a KNOWN good working one?
Neutral light work? If not, it's likely that the neutral switch has failed or the wire is cut between the switch and the CDI
AND
the clutch switch the same..
You do have bike in neutral AND pulling the clutch to try to start? Yes, is should work with either, but at least one or both has likeley failed here.

I have this same problem good battery , new silanoid , N light works , temp light comes on when you hit the button , i have bypassed the PB / clutch sensor , cross the termanals on the silanoid and it turns over just fine , if i run power to the yellow wire at the silanoid and hit the start button it will turn over once and stop . do i need to convert to the ford silanoid at this point or is there something i am overlooking?

My did this once. Remove the screws to spit the starter button halves and clean. You would not beleive the gunk that was in mine. Its always a good idea to clean this every now and then, and spray some wd-40 up in there.

I've had almost the same problem for the past 2 mths. I've replaced the stator, starter, starter relay, all the battery cables from the battery to the relay, from the relay to starter and from the battery to ground. Both the neutral switch and the parking brake switches have been removed properly. I bought a brand new battery and have check all the ignition system wires for damage/poor connection. I was also told that the starter might be hung in the transmission and that I should try outgoing it into gear rocking it hard to un-bind it and putting it back into neutral and trying to start it again. I dunno if any of those ideas help anybody else out. I've tried everything I can think of. Anybody else got any ideas? Not to steal the post, just hoping anything I've done helps myself or somebody else. Gonna check the stater switch, run/kill switch and the main ignition tonight and I'll post what I find out.

Short the two large terminals on the solenoid with a screwdriver and see what happens...

Take the small tear drop shaped cover on the stator cover off and pull the gears out and then try and run the starter.

Ok. I'll try it tonight when I get off work. I've been reading different thingsand heard that the one way starter clutch had issues for this year raptor and might have something to do with it.

Usually the one-way will catch and miss or just freewheel completely when it fails.

So I pulled the cover. Starter runs like a champ. Could the transmission be seized?

More likely the engine, take the plug out on the side of the stator and turn the engine over with a socket. Take the spark plug out to make it easier. DO NOT force it if it will not go as you could twist the end off the crank, ask me how i know.... There is also the possibility that your one way blew up and jammed the one way gear.
