Default Fuel dripping from carb drain hoses

Hey,
I have a 2001 Raptor that has an intermittent problem. With the gas petcock on, and the motor off, gas dripps from both carb drain tubes.
When the motor is running it does not drip. This does not always happen.
I can stop the drip by shutting off the gas petcock.
What is wrong?
Hopefully the video is rolling when the excess gas that had build up on my skid plate ignites while I am hauling ass at the dunes....
That would be a sight to see.
Rob.

Have you had your carbs jetted. If not, your floats are probably sticking causing your fuel level to be higher than normal. I had this same problem when I jetted my 02 Raptor with Dynojets. I left the fuel on overnight at the shop and my gas tank emptied into the floor and filled my
air box up. I took the bottom of the carbs off to get to the floats and then started to clean everything up. I also adjusted the float level. I think I seen a Sticky that explains how to do the proceedure. Good luck, I wish we had Dunes here in Kentucky. My 686 raptor would love that.

Hey,
I rejetted a couple of years ago, dynojet stage2. I did not adjust the fload though. I'll have to give it a try. I hate to take the carbs off though,
it's a pin in the ass.

I had the same problem. Take off the float bowls and pull off the floats. Pull out the little pointed piece that opens and closes with the floats. I had a piece of t shirt fuzz in there. That should be all there is to it.
