HOW CAN U TELL BY VIN NUMBER

how can u tell what year quad u have by the vin number?

If I am not mistaken, the first two numbers should be the year.
But I am not sure.

I thought it was whatever the 10th number was on the vin... If I remember right....

The tenth # of the vin is the year. It may be a letter which corresponds to the year.

01 Raptor, big gun exhaust, GYTR jet kit, Hotcam stage 1, EHS airbox lid,CFM oiltank,Trailtech fatbars and clamp, full PRM skidplates,PRM bumpers, Works triple rate shocks,burgard+2+1 a-arms, denton steering stabilizer, AC nerfs, ITP c-series wheels, too many little billet pieces to list

also you can look on the inside or outside of the rims if they're stock....whatever number the rim says it is one year younger than that....for example if ur rim says 02 like mine...that means its an 03

the sure way to tell is by looking at the rear shock. if it has a reservoire on the frame with a steel line connecting it to the shock its an 01 if it has the resivior piggy back style its an 02 or later.

That just rules our if it is an 01 or not. It does not tell you what year it is.

this is correct but if the number is a 1 its an 01
if its a 2 its an 02
if its a 3 its an 03 and so on you get the idea
