Default Is the clutch on a warrior suposed to be real stiff?

I went and looked at a 2000 warrior i was interested in and the clutch was so stiff it hurt to pull back. also the foot shifter was real loose and didnt want to go in gear. are these problems hard to fix? the guy said it was a racing clutch and they were supposed to be stiff like that but i couldnt imagine having to put up with that. and he said on all his banshees the shifter was just as loose. so does anyone know if they are supposed to be like this?

They make stiff springs that will make the warrior a bastard to pull. I would use stock springs..

Shifter should not be loose, probably worn out.

they sloppy shifter is (most likely) cause my the worn out linkage.... you can just put a yz250 shifter on it and get rid of all the slop... that is probably one of the most common problems with the warrior... as far as the clutch goes... it is either supposed to me like that or else the cable needs lubed

My 96 Warrior had an extremly hard to pull clutch untill I put in a new cable. I also added a driveline clutch but that didn't help untill after the cable was installed. Might not be a bad idea.
