Also do these numbers need to match my frame? And do they tell me anything about the year of my motor?

The only thing I would do with that intake is clean the casting under the seat making a smoother path.

Your exhaust looks good, I took a little more of the hump out at the bottom of the exhaust port.

You will notice a gain. I notice mine got much louder after I did the portwork. I don't know if it coincidence.

like diggerz said(I think) remove the valves and smooth out right below the valve seats without damaging the seats. there seemes to be a large ridge there from mass production.I heard the hump was ok in the exhaust for backpreassure. I spent about 10 hours or so, a rotary tool with attachments, emery cloth, and a few rum-n-cokes to port and polish my head. it did seem to be a bit louder after, but I thought it was because of the st.1 hot cam. i lost a little bottom end power, but gained a few hp on top. well worth the effort.
