I bought an 03 warrior that had hardly been ridden. I ended up pulling the carb which was in need of a good cleaning. I also have a Clymer manual and made adjustments accordingly. Since reinstalling it, I'm having an issue with gas leaking from the carb like maybe the needle isn't seating completely. I checked the needle and it was in excellent condition. Is there a way of checking to see if that is in fact the problem or could it be something else?
Make good and sure the needle and seat are really clean. I have had the same problem, I found there was a varnished fuel residue on the needle. I used some carb cleaner and a clean rag to scrub it clean.
You can get a new needle and seat fairly inexpensively too.
I thought I did a pretty good job cleaning all the parts. I guess I'll have to open it back up and go over it one more time. Maybe I'll pick up a carb kit for it.
