1999 warrior wont start...clicking noise

its been awile since i last visited bluetraxx....anyway i replaced the stator about a year ago, rode once, and now after a year of sitting it wont start, just makes a clicking noise. didnt know if the stator has gone bad or what??? how do you bypass to see if stator is working correctly?

Sounds to me like your battery is dead. Try charging it!

check the starter solenoid if the battery is good...

i used an alternate power source in trying to start it, so the battery isnt a question....it will turn over a couple of times, after which all it does it make a clicking sound which is coming from the stator.

The stator is under the cover on the shifter side of the motor. The wires come out of the engine above the shifter.

This manual will tell you how to test the stator to make sure it is within specifications.

If I had to guess I would say you have a loose ground or a bad regulator. the regulator is the small finned piece under the tail light. Check your ground cable on both ends.
