Warrior vs 400EX

I was wondering...if i modded my warrior like i was planning, will it be able to hang with a 400 in a drag? Here are my planned mods, an HMF pipe, Hotcams Stage One, K and N, Holes in airbox, and a 14 tooth front sprocket. I think it will beat them, the 14 tooth sprocket will put me close in top speed. The Pipe will make up for the lost bottom end and add a lil speed. And the cam and k and n will give me more bottom to mid range..right? What do you think?

I've got everything but the cam, and it don't touch a 400EX.I don't know how much difference the cam will make.

Why a hotcam stage 1? its the weakest cam you can get.

jakal maby because with that u dont need to get any other htings like vavle springs, simple and easy.

LittleD i would say it will be closer but not beating, and the hotcam i belive gives u more topend, not bottom, i high compresion pistin would give u a much better chance, with way more bottom end

Need a dirt bike :(

My '00 Warrior was quite capable of beating 400s in the drag to the first corner, but I had lots done to it. Port&polish, WB .390, Wiseco 10.25, no airbox lid AND holes in the box, DG full system. Plus it was geaaring right. I'd leave the line in second. There were many nights when our classes ran together and I was in the middel of the 400s at the first corner. Of course, the ones that had very much work were in front of me, but you get the idea. And it also depends greatly on rider ability.

'98/'04 MX Warrior...racing again! LoneStar, Wicked, Works all around, Web, Arias, Noss, DG, Douglas, etc., etc., etc. Gotta go...sponsors to please and Hondas to beat :)

i think that if you geared your warrior right then you would have a good chance of keeping up to the 400 ex i have raced my friend on his 400 ex and my warrior and his had a dg pipe and mine was allmost stock and the first couple of gears where both very close but once he hit 4th and 5th he was gone but it was close in 1st to 3rd

So the 400ex still has 30 more CC and 50 less pounds than his warrior. From the races I have done against stock 400EXs I have won once.

I just got an 02 400ex today and i raced my dad on the warrior. It wasnt a real race cause no one started us but he jumped first and i spun but once it hooked up i caught up to him, and when he was in 5th i went flying pasted him and the ex has got a bigger topend. To beat an ex youll need alot more mid and topend power.

2002 400ex-holeshot mx rears and holeshot mx fronts, factory effexs graphic kit,dg bumper,16 tooth sprocket, renthal handlebars, scott grips,Big Gun complete system
1998 Warrior-some mods

Thinking about passing me? You really shoudn't Day dream during a race!
