Hey everyone, this is my fist post here and I'm hoping to get some help. I bought a 2009 Yamaha wolverine 350 the other day that had sat for a while... it did not make any sound or click or anything when I tried to start it, but we jumped it from the starter relay with a good battery. So fist I replaced the battery, and then a new (aftermarket) starter relay (solenoid) and now I have a constant buzz when trying to start... connections are tight and seem clean. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! -Simeon
I'm no professional but it sounds as simple as Battery having low volts, cable to starter solenoid, bad or wrong solenoid for your bike. From what I've learned... especially on a Warrior... you have to have above 12 volts. (12.99) preferred. Try testing that Battery again using a Multimeter or Auto Store... I've purchased batteries before that didn't have correct voltage and have bought crappy selenoids that didn't work. Check all your fuses!!!
assuming your battery voltage is good and it still just buzzez, you can hook up a jump pack to boost it if you are not sure. pull the starter and ground it to the case, hit the button if it spins it is not likely your relay or solenoid and could be a worn starter or starter clutch. if it does not spin most likely your new solenoid is junk.
