Did you check the Throtle stop screw on the throtle? (controls the RPM)......How long has it been like that?, did you buy it new or used?.........is it Smokeing?,what you Compression like High or Low?, did you Clean the carb?.......Got to know the symptom's and what you tried to do to fix it to help!
The Clutch was a go idea........it may be in the ajustment?

COMPRESSION IS GOOD NOT SMOKING THROTTLE STOP SCREW ALL THE WAY OUT YES BOUGHT NEW IT HAS BEEN LIKE THAT FOR ABOUT A YEAR. BEEN FIGHT PROBLEM A LONG TIME. HOW DO I KNOW IF CLUTCH ADJUSTMENT IS SET RIGHT

There are 2 clutches on a foot shifter, the primary and the main. The primary allows you to idle in gear it is a centrifugal clutch. The main clutch is just like any other atv it is a clutch pack..
Which one did you replace?

Good question, and did you adjust the shifter clutch? When did this problem start? What does your oil smell/look like? How many gears do you have when you shift through them? You should have 5. There's a external adjuster nut/stud for the shifter clutch, you should have at least 1/2 turn of freeplay on the stud before it seats on the clutch linkage.
