Timing a quadsport 230

I have taken apart my 86 quadsport 230 to replace the valve guides and need help with timing the engine. Is there marks on the flywheel and the cam that need to be lined up?

Yes 1st off there is a view plug directly over the magneto unscrew it and there is a T then a line beside it on the magneto , on the motor case there is a little arrow ,line up the line on the magneto to the little arrow, make sure your piston is tdc,top dead center, then there is 2 marks on the cam shaft line them up even with the top of the motor making sure the cam lobes are pointing down, thats it .

Ahh, such memories. My 1st quad was an 89 250 quadsport. Great machines, used to beat the hell out of the 250x's. Post a pic if U have one.
